Fundraising campaigns are campaigns held to raise funds. This is usually done for a good purpose or cause. A fundraising campaign often consists of a series of fundraising events. Fundraising campaigns vary in the length of time of implementation. This depends on the nature of the cause you have.

There are three main types of fundraising campaigns. These types differ in the causes they have. The following is a list of these three types:

* Capital fundraising campaigns - Fundraising campaigns of this type involves collecting funds from donors for a financial endowment or a building. For the latter, it may mean collecting funds for the construction of a building. It may also mean acquisition of a building or renovation of it.

* Political campaigns - These fundraising campaigns may be for the purpose of supporting a political candidate. This may also involve soliciting funds from people to help you in your advocacy of a particular political party.

* Non-profit campaigns - Non-profit campaigns are campaigns done for a specific cause which may be related to religion, arts, music, education, sexuality, health, and other more issues. An example of such fundraising campaigns are campaigns done to support research for cancer and those with the purpose to elevate the level of education.

There are several materials which instruct about how you can make plans for your fundraising campaigns. However, there may not be a lot about how to make your upcoming fundraising campaigns successful after having another fundraising campaign.

The main thing you must remember is to provide feedback after your fundraising campaigns. Be sure to do this a few days up to a week after each of your fundraising events. This shows your donors how much you appreciate their support. In fact, it is best to maintain regular communication with your donors. This is so you won't have a hard time approaching them in your next fundraising event. Make sure, though, to make feedback or updates relevant or interesting so that they don't get turned off. Another advantage of providing feedbacks to donors after your event is that they are more likely to support you again on your upcoming fundraising events. The following are some examples of ways to provide regular feedback or updates to your donors:

* Websites - Updating your website regularly is the fastest and most convenient way to reach your donors. You may post here upcoming events, programs and other things which your donors may find relevant. You may even provide a special link solely devoted to your donors and other prospective donors.

* Donor recognition events - holding an event to recognize their support inspires them more to help you in the future. These events may not be considered as fundraising events but they help upcoming ones become successful. They also contribute in the development of your present fundraising campaign. Be creative in facilitating your recognition events for this is your chance again to catch their interest.

* Program brochures - Apart from posting your past and upcoming programs on your website, provide your donors with brochures. This helps them remember you easily. Keep in mind that other organizations may be seeking for their support for their own fundraising campaigns.

* Newsletters - Providing newsletters, like brochures, is different from reaching them through your website. This is because a hard copy of your events and plans can make a lot of difference in holding their interest until your next fundraising campaigns come.

* Volunteer recognition events - You may invite your donors to your volunteer recognition events. This gives them an idea that your fundraising campaigns are really for a good cause. You also convey to them the message that you appreciate the support you get from people, whether they are donors or volunteers. Again, make sure that you create unique programs for these recognition events.

No matter what kind of campaign you plan to launch, always keep in mind the importance of giving feedbacks. Do this regularly and you'll see the fruits of your labor as you hold more fundraising campaigns in the future.
